How much gravel should i put under my brick patio? My friend told me that I need to use sand just like concrete but Ive heard differently,

Yes! you should always use gravel under your brick walkway. We recommend 22a or 21a processed road gravel. We usually put 6" of gravel in the Lansing area because most areas have heavy clay. If you have less clay you can get away with 4" but I would still recommend 6" because it's a cheap insurance policy! Also, make sure to compact in 1" - 2" lifts instead of compacting all of the gravel at once. This will prevent future settling.
