After the first grade is completed, we begin installing retaining walls, paths, stone steps and landscape plantings based on the landscape master plan by All Terra Landscape
One year after landscaping is completed, the home owner's enjoy the use of their pool and new outdoor living spaces

Before and After - REAR YARD PATIO
Time to start building the seat wall. A lot goes into the construction and preparation of a retainer wall
First step was to install the seat wall, pillars and built in fire pit. Next we begin to construct the flagstone patio
Now that the wall is complete, we begin laying the flagstone on a compacted road gravel base for drainage
This site required extensive drainage due to the a high water table so we had to excavate twice as much and install drain tile to take away the water
Now that the flagstone is laid, next we'll add the jointing material that will lock the stone in place
Here is the flagstone patio along with plantings to soften the harshness of the stone. This is what the project looks like 7 years later

Here is an outdated landscape. The owner's wanted to freshen up the front yard and add curb appeal so that they could sell the house

After tearing out the old, broken concrete sidewalk, preparations for the new flagstone walkway begins
Flagstone walkways are a beautiful addition to any landscape
We were able to incorporate one of the home owner's own stepping stone. A nice touch to finish off this project
This project used Ohio Bluestone Flagstone which is about 1" thick and perfect for walkways and patios

After 6" of compacted road gravel is installed, we begin to screed the leveling sand in preparation for laying the brick pavers
We excavate 10" to allow for the road gravel, sand and thickness of the brick pavers
Constructing a brick paver patio is much like building a cake!
Once the preparation is finished, we lay the brick pavers and apply polymeric sand to the joints
Now it's time to enjoy your new brick patio!
